About

Where It Started

I began my journey helping authors on Fiverr, collaborating with five friends from my book club to offer beta reading from multiple perspectives.

Within a a year, we reached Fiverr’s Choice and built a reputation for detailed, reader-focused critique, earning over 200 reviews on our profile.

Alongside that, I ran a solo account offering ghostwriting and scriptwriting services, reaching Top Rated status with 56 reviews.

But after two intense years, I hit burnout hard. I knew I needed to step away from service work completely, not just "take a break".

I deleted my solo account first, then approached the collective, requesting to step back from my responsibilities and offering to find a replacement. It turned out most of us felt the same way, and together we made the unanimous decision to close our shared account.

The Break

For the rest of 2021 and part of 2022, I stayed far away from reading or writing. I needed space from the world of words.

But I love stories. I couldn’t stay away forever.

And this time, without the pressure to create for others, I focused on creating just for me.

That pause gave me space to rediscover my love of story on my own terms.

I explored plays, poetry, comics, essays, and radio dramas, published (and shelved) two short story collections and a series of animal-fiction novellas, and ran a blog where I shared a 300-word flash piece every day for a year.

I began to study stories across mediums: books, shows, films, scripts. Indie, traditional, experimental, obscure. I filled journals with notes on what grabbed me and what pulled me away.

Then I spent even more hours of my life trying to understand why. Pages and pages of notes breaking down my own reader/consumer psychology, trying to go deeper into why this and not that.

And Now...

In 2025, I returned to helping indie authors craft stories that captivate readers. I bring together years of professional experience, personal experimentation, and deep story analysis to help authors create engaging, unputdownable books. I also maintain a blog where I share ongoing insights into storytelling and continue to write and read constantly.

When I'm not editing, reading or writing, I like to hike, jog very quickly, play code monkey, rock on with a guitar, and find creative ways to style my favorite pair of linen pants.
