Every writer has a story.

This one just happens to be mine.

When I was really young, someone pushed me over in the playground, so I stopped talking to my peers and buried my nose in books instead.

Okay, that was a total lie.

The truth is much simpler: I've loved reading for as long as I can remember.

Reading naturally turned into writing, and writing eventually turned into an obsession with storytelling itself. Whenever I came across something exceptionally well-written, I wanted to know why it worked. Why did one book keep me reading until 2 a.m., while another had me DNF-ing by chapter three?

That curiosity eventually led me to ghostwriting, where I spent several years helping writers bring their ideas to life.

Over time, I began attracting more clients who wanted me to help them improve their own work. That's when I discovered something unexpected.

I enjoyed talking about stories even more than writing them.

Helping a writer untangle a plot problem or finally understand why a scene wasn't landing was far more rewarding than writing the scene myself.

Studio Marginalia grew out of that epiphany.

It exists because I believe writers deserve feedback that goes beyond "I liked it" or "This didn't work for me." If something isn't working, I'll explain why. If something is working, I'll explain that too, because understanding your strengths is just as important as identifying your blind spots.

I'm not here to turn your story into a bastardized version of itself.
I'm here to help you tell it better.
